Hi, I’m Courtney 👋 — I’m a multidisciplinary creative and strategic leader with 15+ years of experience across the advertising and tech industries.

Currently, I lead the US Retail Creative Strategy team at Pinterest 📌. We’re tasked with driving creative excellence and innovation across a sales sector generating over a billion dollars annually. We help hundreds of retail brands 🛍️ build meaningful and performant content experiences for consumers. Recently, we created custom activations for Joss & Main, Walmart, and Wayfair.

I also support cross-functional company initiatives and led the development of Pinterest’s Global Content Framework 🌎 and supported product GTMs for Premiere Spotlight + Total Video Solutions 🎬. I’ve been lucky to learn and create lots of cool work in my 7+ years at Pinterest.

My background as a teacher inspired me to become a manager, where I continue to hone my passion for building strong teams👩🏽‍💻🧑🏻‍💻, developing talent, and leading with a people-first mindset that cultivates safe environments where creativity💡thrives. 

I started my career agency-side as a copywriter 📝, developing integrated campaigns for Firestone, Allstate, The Art Institute of Chicago, P&G, and Purina to name a few. I also dabbled in a greeting card line 💌 and helped people Skip The Small Talk with my trademark sarcasm.

To call myself a creative director, strategy lead, people manager, or product marketer wouldn’t encompass what I can do. I speak creative, strategy, client services, media sales, and ad tech and can own any room 📣 I walk into. So for now, we’re sticking with a multidisciplinary creative and strategic leader who always loves to talk but never in the absence of action 💃🏻.
