Every piece of branded content from a retailer on Pinterest is influenced by the Retail Creative Strategy team. We inspire and educate advertisers on the ins and outs of creating engaging content experiences on the platform.

On a day-to-day basis, that means we’re focusing on four things:

IKEA

The team creates upwards of 100+ custom, creative pitches each year. This first-to-market idea for IKEA created a chatbot quiz that brought people to a customized Pinterest board, giving them ideas to make their home feel like a dream getaway during COVID.

KOHL’S

We aim to create additive vs. disruptive content. This series of interactive experiences from Kohl’s delivered personalized styling recommendations to Pinners, ensuring Kohl’s not only positioned itself as a fashion-forward retailer but a helpful one.

CONTENT AT SCALE

Building a content creation system that scales creative production and maintains performance is critical to advertiser success. We take a data-driven approach to planning channel strategies that helps retailers evaluate and optimize their media and creative tactics in tandem.

We’re a client-facing team that supports the business development of top retail partnerships in a variety of ways, including hands-on workshops for premium partners to build joint, multi-year creative strategies to support their business goals.

We represent Pinterest at virtual and in-person industry events to share the vision of the platform and its potential for retailers.

CANNES

In 2023, we hosted a custom event for agency executives at Pinterest’s Manifestival in Cannes. We built a custom narrative focused on the intersection of content and commerce on Pinterest. Each attendee walked away with the Pinterest Manifestival Jumpstart Kit to make it easy to activate and share their learnings with their agencies back home.

PREMIERE SPOTLIGHT + LIVE SHOPPING

We work with our Product Marketing team to identify advertisers for new and emerging product trials. Walmart jumped at the opportunity to do a 5-day takeover with our Programming & Originals team using both the Premiere Spotlight and Live Shopping products.

SHUFFLES

Sometimes advertisers want to be first to market before we’re ready to monetize a product. We help advertisers visualize the future role of emerging products as they migrate and evolve into core products.
