CREATING INCLUSIVE & DIVERSE CONTENT

The Creative Strategy team influences all branded content on Pinterest. We had an opportunity to proactively increase representation in our work and inspire thousands of top global advertisers to do the same.

In consultation with Pinterest’s I&D team, we developed a visual report that outlined areas of improvement for our existing work through the lens of an always-on educational mindset and the impact our team can make on all branded content across Pinterest.

Pins were one piece of the puzzle, influencing content also extended to the way we pitched and showed up in market. To keep our goals top-of-mind we created an internal slide that opened our standard deck template used by our global team as a simple reminder to increase representation in our work.


EXTERNAL ADVERTISER EDUCATION

For a select group of top advertisers, we adapted the thought leadership into an external education series. We intentionally calculated each advertiser’s Opportunity to Inspire by quantifying their active content on the platform which averaged >10K Pins.
